Opinions about Sig 6k gen 1 HD vs. gen 2 HDX. Also 32mm vs 42mm

I have a set of Sig 6k HD 10x32 binos that I like. Even on battery saving/short range mode they have plenty of jam and I don't notice a lot of the blue tint that the 3k and 10k users report. I like the BDX app and the display. Only real minor issue is that the reticle is misaligned.

That said in low light they could be better. Inam considering getting the 6k HDX 10x42mm. If anyone here has used both do you think the latest generation and larger objective lenses would offer a noticeable improvement in low light conditions?

The 10k may be better yet but for me that's too much money for something I might lose.

Thanks in advance.

I think there's still limits on what is capable with coatings for low light that's laser safe. I've noticed every single rangefinder bino struggles in low light compared to their standard cousins.
Thanks for the reply. That makes sense it's just people were raving about how much better the gen 2 10k were versus the older ones and I thought maybe these would have a similar improvement.

Also not sure how much difference the bigger objective makes. Some people online were saying none, some said a little.

The biggest improvement on the 10k gen 2 is the coatings aren't blue anymore.

Objective size isn't everything. There's a lot of smaller lenses inside. Generally they have more field of view and there's more light because of the larger objectives, but coatings and internals are also hugely important.

Optics are subjective as we all have different eyes. Best is to experience them yourself. Spend some time behind them outside. My LGS will walk you outside with whatever you want to try so you can see before you buy.

LGS has nothing comparable unfortunately. These will be special ordered. I know optics are subjective but I was just wondering if anyone went to the new gen 2's and thought oh wow, these are way better/brighter.

I get it.
I looked through the 10k gen 1 and said "nope!"

Looked through the gen2 and said "sweet!"

I think they feel brighter because they're not blue. But, I've only used them at the range. For me hunting is the only time I'm on glass from dark to dark and I haven't used them for that.
