Rifle Scopes Opinions on MK4 Tactical Spotter

I'm looking for opinions on a Leupold MK4 Tactical spotter with the Mil-Dot reticle. I have a friend who is going to be getting rid of one, and I'm wondering if I should pick it up.

Thoughts?

I have one w the TMR reticle and would not part w it, $600 is a steal, if you don't buy it, PM me and I will.

It depends on what you compare it to, and what you intend to use it for. They were $1400 retail, and decent Kit, so it's probably a very good buy at $600. Of course the high end stuff is noticeably better, but for most there's no real need to spend over 3K on a spotting scope if you already have something as good as the Leupold.

I would get a Bushnell FFP MilDot spotter for 350 and use the rest for ammo

Well, I picked it up. I payed the guy $650 for it. I was going to go with the Bushnell, but this seemed like it was a good deal. I hope that this scope doesn't crap out on me now.
