Opinions on the GRAM act?

Three Republicans are sponsors of the GRAM act, which would effectively allow users of the evil weed to exercise their 2nd amendment rights. The caveat being you must be in a state that already has legalized usage. I'm not sure if this is a conservative way to stick it to lib states that allow weed, but restrict guns or if they are really being libertarian. I think the supremes denied a dude his 2nd amendment rights after he complained his felony was non-violent, which seemed like is might have had a chance. I know there's a few gun mags with smoke buddy ads which makes me wonder how many gun folks have pulled a Hunter Biden and bought a gun while imbibing in various illegal discobiscuts.

I should have added that here in Kali this has some real consequences as the legal weed slingers are swiping ID's. Liquor stores don't do this so there's theory's the state is going to cross check, but I used work with some of the state cannibis cops and they don't think that's really a possibility.
Oh and here in Kali the governments have so totally screwed up legalization that 2/3's of the weed sold is still underground i.e. not taxed. We managed to get the worst of both worlds: more drug use, likely not enough tax money to pay for the regulatory agency the legalization created.

problem is the AMA doesnt recognize medical... and they are one of the biggest lobby groups in the USA....

My buddies dad was going to get cancer treatment in Tulsa. Medical is legal in Oklahoma. My buddy asked the doc at the cancer center about medical and the doc said they cant discuss it. He said "yea but its legal here for medical" and the doc basically said because the AMA doesnt support it, he cant do anything with it.

About 10 minutes later a nurse walked in and dropped a business card for a guy up the road LOL....

I don't get in car of those that are under the influence of alcohol have seen friends that killed themselves that way , hell most of my friends can't drive sober let alone drunk nor do I associate with those that use drugs , the whole people places and things are easiest to avoid if I have nothing to do with them anymore . I'm not sure about other states, but in Kali Cal Cannabis is the state agency that regulates legal weed. They would have to talk to Cal DOJ to do anything about it and for the foreseeable future, I can't imagine that happening. Too much nonsense, the anti gunners would say they love it, but the reality is Kali folks buy a metric shit to of guns and a bunch of those are closeted gun owners.
The medical side is more interesting, HIPPA is a federal guideline and I don't think gun ownership would meet the bar of violating dr/patient privilege.

I saw this coming. Legal weed should only provide significant tax revenue when canna-tourism is in play. Once it's legally available everywhere, who the hell is going to pay $20 per gram when they can grow it themselves for next to nothing? It's called weed because it is a weed. It's not particularly difficult to grow and there are variations that can be grown everywhere from the tundra's of Asia through the most tropical areas of the world around the equator. Just a few (legal) plants can yield several pounds when grown under the right conditions. Who the hell is smoking four or five pounds of weed every year? What do they do with all that extra product?

Why pay through the nose at a dispensary when your neighbor's growing pounds of the stuff at 1/2 the cost on the black market because he's not charging tax? And has no overhead to boot?

These governors that adopt laws are conservative people, and they won't accept a law that legalizes weak narcotics like a weed. For them, this is like death, because this is the way they were educated. In my opinion, legalizing it will lead to solving a lot of problems.
