Night Vision Optic/NV device positioning. NV device in front or behind?

I am just wanting to use ITT PVS14 with EOTECH EXPS3 (integral rail qd) on a flat top AR. I see pictures of this optic and PVS 14 mounted in either position, fore or aft of each other.

Which position is correct, or is there one?

Also whose mount correctly aligns the height of ITT PVS 14 with the QD Eotech, which I understand is a bit higher that the older screw/clamp mount type Eotech.

PVS-14 has to be in the rear. Out of every pvs-14 weapons mount out there that I have tried, ( Samson, gg&g, usgi, Alamo four star, PRI, etc.) the new MOD Armory IC UWM the best, hands down. MOD sells them Direct, I2, myself, and I believe Ident all carry them as well.

If you mount the 14 in front of the EOTech, a number of problems will arise, namely POI and a tiny sight picture.
