Ok guys, I need some persuasion please. I am trying to decide which optic to go with on my sr25. I had planned on using eotech as that is my go to optic on all my CQC rifles. The sr25 will still be used as a cqc rifle, but being a .308 if need be I could also stretch out their if need be. Not that this would be my primary rifle in 3 gun matches, but I would like to use it once and while for training purposes during a match. We may have stages from 5 yrds to 300 yrds and you must use the optic you started with. Don't really care for an magnifier behind an eotech, so please persuade me in which direction to head. I know personal preference plays a big part, but Im curious to see what others have to say of which way to lean and why. I am currently using an eotech during these matches and training to engage 8" steel out to 240yrds with an sr15, with little difficulty for the most part. At this point I am between eotech or some sort of 1-4 optic. I Shot through a S&B short dot the other day and just couldn't convince myself that it was quick enough for close range, but then again I have had very little time behind any sort of 1-4 optic.

If you are looking at getting something in the S&B dollar range look at the Swarovski 1-6x.
Here is a link to them on our website.

Mike,

That looks like a nice option for the AR's. I may be wrong, but the illumination is unique compared to other options out there.

Nice to see that the reticle is not a BDC type, but rather has uniform increments that making it more usable across a range of calibers.

Re: Optic persuasion needed

The owner of the S&B short dot that I handled, had told me that he was pretty impressed with the swarovski 1-6. He had the chance to handle and look through it at the NRA show this past year I think. Can't remember why he ended up going with the the S&B over it, but seems like every match he brings it back up that he really liked the Swaro. So what mini red dot to most recommend if I ended up going that route.
