Rifle Scopes Optic Recommendation for 5R 300wm

I just purchased a Rem 700 SS 5R 300wm and need to decide on an optic. It will primarily be a hunting rifle. I might on occasion shoot an F-Class match with it. Our matches only go to 600 yards. I would rule the chances of shooting past 600 to be pretty slim. I have 338lm and 50bmg to reach out farther of I shoot 1000 yard matches and beyond.

I would like something that is decent in low light situations. I have NightForce optics and Falcon Menace optics. I'm not trying to break the bank.

I'd definitely like to stay under 1000 for now unless the rifle gets a dedicated purpose. If I could keep it closer to 500 it would be a bonus and below would just be gravy.

Any input is appreciated.

The Burris Fullfield II in 4.5-14 is a very good hunting scope if you're not going to dial it. I've owned two.

Surprisingly good glass and fantastic lowlight performance. Everyone I've hunted with has been blown away by how bright and clear it is out to legal light.

Their Ballistic Plex reticle worked pretty good for one of my 300 loads, some have been off 3-4 inches, but not bad if you make a drop chart.

The biggest problem is that the reticle may be too thick for F class. You could have it changed.

The others to look at are Sightron and Vortex.

The Eotech's are illegal in my state on a hunting rifle. No illuminated or electronic sights.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I'll have to check out the Burris. I might end up with another Falcon but who knows.

No more than I shoot long range it's hard to justify purchasing another NightForce and although I want a USO this isn't really the project I want to put it on

If it was me, I'd probably buy the Falcon because you can move it to another rifle that's not a dedicated hunter and have LOTS more flexibility. The Burris is a GREAT hunting scope, but stops right there (even though they offer "tactical knobs"

)

Nightforce is Illuminated is it illegal? Most states mean no projected light/laser. Ask the game warden if you ain't sure.
Get the USO you've been wanting then you'll 1/2 way into yet another gun. Good luck
