Considering one of these for my next scope. I was wondering what one has better optical quality for the money. I have a PST 4-16 currently I just purchased. Have ZERO experience with either optic. Thanks for the help.

Pretty similar, both quite good for the money.
Similar erector travel, too.
IIRC the Viper obscures the FOV at the extremes of the erector travel at lower magnifications (there are a few threads discussing it here).
The Bushnell has no tunneling, no "shrouding" (my word for the effect described above).
The Bushnell can be had with the excellent (IMHO) G2DMR reticle.
The Viper comes with illumination and costs a little ($50?) more.
Both have lifetime warranties.
I'd have no problem buying either one, but I already own the Bushy ET6245FG.

Some here have opined that the PST 4-16 lags behind the PST 6-24 optically.

Glass is about the same, I have both. Had both actually, I just sent back my BTR Mil recticle because the center dot ws not friendly to my eye, deciding what on one to get to replace it, leaning troward the Ilum mildot version, but might go for the G2 non Illum instead.

both are good scopes for the money. On a side note, I'd just go ahead and step up to the DMR 3.5-21 w/ G2...its worth the little jump in price ;)

I had a Viper PST 6-24x50 and the glass cannot match the 3.5-21x50 G2DMR so i sold it. In fact the quality of the Bushnell Elite Tactical is on par with my Nightforce NXS F1. Bought another Bushnell, XRS 4.5-30x50 H59 and shot it last weekend and I can aim at 3" dots at 300yds.
