Rifle Scopes Optics Choices...?

Hey guys! I'm looking into some quality (but not extremely expensive) optics for a Savage in .308. Here's what I'm deliberating between:

Falcon 10x42
Super Sniper 10x or 16x
Millett 4-16x50

Anyone have any advice here? I really want some variable power, so if you also know of a Falcon variable for under $350, sing out!

Especially appreciated would be any of those brands you have for under $350 with information on MOA max travel. Thanks!

if you really want a variable i'd suggest looking for a used Falcon 4-14x44 or save a bit more and buy one new. they go for about $400. if your ok with fixed, then the SS 10x is great

I personally would go with the SS. Depending on what you are wanting to do with it, that would make the determination of what power to get.

If you are using this as a hunting rig, stay at 10x. If you are mostly punching paper, then go with the 16x. You can use the 16x for hunting as well, just stay far enough away from where your quarry is to utilize the optic correctly.

I am sort of in the same situation. I have an AR-10 that is on "long term loan" that needs a new scope. I am also considing the new 3-10x Weaver with 1/10 mil adjustments for $299.
