Hunting & Fishing Optics for handguns

I am getting ready to mount an optic possibly for handgun hunting. Anyone have some ideas for me as to whether I should use a scope, reflex sight or holographic possibly. It's going on a Ruger GP100 6" bull barrel with Wiegand mount. Maybe you have pics of yours for reference.

I have tried scopes and various red dots on various handguns, mainly 44s

My favorite setup has been an Aimpont T1 on my Smith Performance Center 44

44s will tear up cheap red dots...

This would be on a .357 mag. I am leaning toward a reflex style like a Burris Fastfire or Trijicon, Leopold.
