Ordering a 6.5 Grendel

About to order an AR in 6.5 Grendel and right now looks like it'll be from Loki Weapon Systems. Wanted to see who else besides LWS, GAP, JP, and Alexander Arms will build me an accurate rifle at a decent price. LWS is right in my price range and will place my order in about 2 or 3 weeks once taxes come back so I still have some time.
I’ve read and learned a lot from this forum and decided on the 6.5 over the .308 AR I had originally thought I needed. So yes, if you look at my join date it has taken me almost 3 years to decide on this rifle....

got both my grendels built by Rainierarms.com with DanielDefense barrels, very accurate and reliable with a good price also.

I believe LARGrizzly just showed their new one off at shot, if its anything like their others, it'll be a tac driving hammer! I'm thinking heavily about one myself.

I have one from Scott at Specialized Dynamics. It is a hammer too. I have a BHW 22" barrel with a side charging upper. Sweet set up and is boring accurate. Shooting into the .3 and .4 range with .5 being the norm. I would for sure give him a shout and see what he could do for you. Been a pleasure to deal with and is building me a 260 now.

I have 5 AR-10 platform rifles. They all shoot sub MOA and I do too. I like my DPMS with JP trigger and Douglas barrel for target shooting and all but it would make great defensive/hunting rifles. The secret of how to make these rifles shoot has been out for a few decades now so any reputable builder can do it.

I've got a 264 LBC from Les Baer. Its built on a .223 sized upper and lower (no need for a large frame) with 20" barrel, Geisele two stage match trigger, etc. Shoots .5MOA with SMK loads. The rifle is great fun to shoot; its almost become my go to platform when I just want to grab an AR and go shoot.

i got my upper from AA, and it shoots 1/2-3/4" groups with both 90gr speers and 120gr noslers. im really happy with it.

You should also look into Specialized Dynamics. Scott is at the predatormasters hunt right now and he is trying to access his Email as much as possible. If you want you could PM me and i can try and get ahold of him for you to possibly get you a price or get you in contact with him.

+1 for Scott, although he didn't build my rifle, Scott builds some damn fine uppers and is a wealth of information, plus hes a Hide sponsor
