Hey everyone from Oregon, I have been looking for an outdoor location west of Mt. Hood that would be suitable for long range. Does anyone have areas they would be open to sharing? I have spent a crazy amount of time on google earth looking at maps and everything I find doesn't seem to pan out when I see it in person, too many damn trees! I have access to a local range but they only run long range one day a week and that is not always convenient so I was hoping to find a spot I can go to on my own time. I am unfortunately based out of the Portland metro so I realize I may have no options in this area. Any ideas for areas I can check out would be appreciated.

This is in Oregon. It's quite a ways from where you are though. You can shoot to damn near infinity here.
Welcome back... I moved here in 2005 from K Falls. Hit me up if you need some local info. I’ve got some cool spots and steel if you need. A few years ago we had a pretty large group of us that would get together a couple times a month and shoot but that fell apart. Just have a few buddies shooting now
Thanks! I have a bunch of steel but all the clear cuts I remember are all grown up!. I have pistol range on my place I put in. Its pretty muddy with all the rain now though. I can manage a hundred yards for sight in etc under the cover of my shop.
If the rain isn’t too bad I might shoot sunday. Let me know and you can join. I’ve got a mile spot for the Lapua I’ve been itching to got too. Been preoccupied with ducks and crabbing to hit it lately. Plus Winter steelhead time is here so better do it now!

The only spots I know are @Steel head and I promised not to tell so I’ll defer to him.
plus we need to find out what everyone is shooting because if we leave it up to @Steel head it will be mile and over hahah Most of us are near the danger zone so it will be at undisclosed places in the cheese forest
