OT: Who's the Hollywood armoror/prop guy here?

I was curious about something and thought Ryan or someone that works in Hollywood could enlighten me.

There was a VW Scirocco in the new Karate kid.

Who's is it? Did they really bust it up for the movie? (Does not look like it).

When there is a car in a movie stunt shot, there are usually two to four cars depending on how many shots they are willing to do. The car/s are usually wasted

The above is from a good friend in the industry who has experience in front of, and behind the lens.

His experience:
Titanic(Purser by the punch bowl, and the one who was helping people into the life boats)
Pensacola Gold(First Squad Leader of the Marine's doing PT in the shows opening sequences)
Babylon 5 (many roles with alien make up)

Many music Videos
a few other movies that I can't remember off the top of my head. He's been at it since Titanic was filmed, and also does weddings etc in his slack time.

Ya Ya, know all that, but that's only when they have plenty of cars to spare.

There are not a lot of VW Sciroccos and I can bet that the car shown AFTER was not a scirocco.

When they cut away from the car it appeared to be digitized so I don't think they destroyed the car...could be wrong.

Just want some inside info on it tho, maybe it's just some hollywood director's car...or maybe it's for sale..
