Hunting & Fishing Otc tag ?

What state is the easiest to get otc elk tag? I'm ok with a cow tag if that's all that is available.

Colorado and Idaho both have OTC bull tags . Success rates are not great , but the experience is.

Do you have any recommendations in the Pueblo, CO area? Trying to plan a elk hunt next year.

Contact Colorado fish and game hunt planner @303-291-7526 they are super helpful, then google earth pro , hunt on X. That will give you pleanty to do in the off season.my .02.

I live in Nevada but my close Army buddy lives in Colorado Springs.

Once you talk to CFG hunt planner and pick a area have your buddy help you scout ..... Can you get a tag in Nevada or is it a draw ?

It’s a draw which is really frustrating. Haven’t hunted for 2 years because of the draw. Hunted 15 years straight in IL and WI before moving to NV.

Im in Texas I try the draw every year in Montana, Colorado, Wyoming I have not been lucky in 3 years. I do hunt Texas deer and pigs , I go to Idaho for everything else. Ill shoot you a pm when I get out of the field and give you my number I let you know what I know....

i have hunted the colorado OTC 3 out of the last 4 years and connected once...The harder the terrain you go to the better off you will do. If you get more then 1000yards off a trail you will go further than most hunters IMO

Greatly appreciate your insight. I’ll have to look into the other states. The problem I run into is not having anytime to scout combined with not knowing any of the units or areas to put in for.
