I read the article/advertisement they had on it in a recent gun rag and even though it is a Otis product it still seems like BS, but I might have to try it out just for shits and giggles.

I asked the same question a year or so back....
The feedback I got was that no-one had actually tried it but were quite happy to see somebody else be the test dummy!
I decided that wasn't a part I wanted to play!

Have tested it on a .300 win mag barrel that we use almost daily. It did actually stop any measurable wear up until 900rnds.
We have re-applied the goop and shooting continues.
In hot rod numbers you need to re-apply the stuff more often than stated - but it does appear to work more or less as advertised.
Question- is it cheaper to coat the barrel every 800rnds in your 6,5-284 or just re-barrel every 4000rnds...
If I get some more I'll stick it in a .308 barrel and see how long it lasts in there.
