Our local Safari Club International held it's annual banquet and auction last night. A lucky feller got his door prize ticket pulled and he won a 870 Remington Express 20 ga.
In 5 minutes or so, knowing the local chapter supports the Wounded Warrior Organization, he asked the President if he could donate the shotty and have it auctioned off to the cause. Of course the answer was "No Problem!"
Bidding started at $500, when the smoke cleared one gracious individual bought said shotty for $3200. 100% of the proceeds went to send a wounded Serviceman on a hunting or fishing adventure.
There were a few tears shed in the audience and I left with a little more faith in my fellow American. There remains some patriotic folk out there........
Thanks for reading.
