I saw in a few threads some folks asking about real life pics looking through the S&B P4F reticle so I thought I'd see if I could pull it off. This is a new S&B PM II 5X25 courtesy of Mike at CS Tactical.

1st pic is at 25X. I put the scope at a disadvantage by aiming into a low light area of the bushes. It's extremely visible and not too thin at all. As good as the pics turned out it does look way better in person. This pics at 10X and 5x particularly are hard to grasp in a photo and were difficult to get a clear focus on the reticle.

I have to say that I like this reticle. At 5X you can use the thick section of the reticle to frame your target which should work very well at close range. It's very close to the USO MIL-GAP which I love...only thinner.

Good pics. I put up a bunch before of the P4F and H2CMR and I suck at taking pics through scopes. The actual view is always better than what my pics look like.

Rob I think that's true when trying to take any through the scope pics. I've taken dozens of pics of many different reticles and they never seem to accurately convey what the reticle actually looks like against background or target.

BattleAxe those are some really good pictures. I've had the good fortune of owning a several S&B's and the misfortune of having several friends that still use them. At ASC last month I noticed with a friend's 5-25 w/ the P4F that I could still make out the full mil hashes all the way down to 5X. I still think the P4F is one of the best long range reticles for the 5-25.
Hopefully one day I'll be able to jump back into a S&B but until then I'll just keep "slumming" it with my NF F1.

That's not exactly "slumming" but I know what you mean.

Yup...getting a good shot at a reticle through a camera is likely more luck than skill.

It was tough going with a reticle merely on a hunch that I'd like it. Wont know for sure til I figure out which stik it will sit on but I'm really liking it so far.
