I've got a Choate take off stock that I'm thinking about painting for a future project. I'm not a big fan of Choate but it might be a good low budget build from parts.

Does anyone know if that type of plastic takes paint well? If so what kind of prep and paint do I need?

I've painted a couple HS Precision stocks and a McMillan with really good results but both of those are fiberglass stocks. The slick plastic of a Choate seems like it will require different techniques.

I duracoated mine, worked good. I though it was goin to chip off like all painted plastic does but I was wrong. The only issues is with hard impacts or gouges because the plastic is soft it will dig through the paint into the plastic. No biggie just shoot some more on it, it's a choate....
