I did a Google search but nothing really came up. The things I found where people saying they did it, but no reports on how well the paint is holding up.

How well does krylon hold up on the polymer KRG uses?

Duracoat and cerakote are not an option.

I use aervoe Paint on mine. The trick is to bake it at 180 degrees for hours after painting it. Even the plastic on the whiskey 3. After a few years it still looks good. Simple prep with an alcohol wipe down.

Minor wear on the high spots.

I'm considering the fde xray in the PX gor a hunting rig. I was going to blast it with greens and browns. The fde would make a nice base color. I was going to use mesh to try and get a snake skin effect.

Ask KRG if the X-ray can take some heat. Baking the paint makes it way tougher and cuts drying time to 2 hrs instead of 2 weeks.

order some aervoe - same Paint is used on military vehicles. It’s tougher than krylon by a good bit, and still the same cost as krylon roughly.

Yes. It smells bad while doing it but mine didn’t keep smelling. I leave when Stuff is baking to reduce exposure to fumes. Hang stuff from little hooks as the grate will leave marks.

Use bulldog adhesive promoter under the krylon, should be fine. I've spray a couple plastic stocks, nice thing about krylon, just take a sponge and touch it up. :)
