Fieldcraft Painting raw rifle without finishing

I currently have an RWS rifle build that does not have any finish on the barrel(stainless) or the recoil lug which is a badger ordnance in the white. since the recoil lug seems to be the only carbon steel thing not finished, do you think it would be safe to go ahead and krylon the rifle?

Go for it. It should be protected by the finish. Duracoat won't lift off with cleaning solvents. Just saying.
