I am interested in buying a swarovski z6 2-12x50 and I noticed it did not have a parallax turret. I was told by the people(tech support) at Swarovski it was not nessasary for 12 power and under. Did I misunderstand? Is this correct? Both my Schmidt&Bender 3-12x50 and my Hensoldt 3-12x56 have parallax adj.

Re: Parallax

I don't know. Get ahold of one and see if you have parallax issues at the ranges you shoot at the magnification you intend to shoot.

Strictly speaking, parallax adjustment is not "necessary", but it may be desirable under certain conditions.

Re: Parallax

it can be a pain in the ass if you shoot targets but not so much for hunting.

most the top end scopes are made for hunting and shooting people.
