    ----------
March for Our Lives, the gun control group started by Parkland survivors, announced an ambitious series of proposals that would radically change the landscape of firearm regulations, aiming to reduce gun ownership and gun-related deaths.

The plan announced on Wednesday seeks to reduce gun deaths by 200,000 (or 50 percent) over 10 years, install an apparent czar for gun violence, create a "
Peace Corps for gun violence prevention," and lower the nation's firearm stock by 30 percent through a mandatory buyback program, according to the group.

Jaclyn Corin, the group's co-founder, described the plan as a "Green New Deal, but for guns" — a reference to Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's sweeping plan to address climate change.

Titled "A Peace Plan for a Safer America," the proposal came as the nation mourned the loss of life during two mass shootings in August and Democratic politicians amped up calls for gun control. While President Trump has mostly resisted Democratic proposals, he signaled support for expanded background checks.

March for Our Lives had already called for universal background checks but the new proposal is more comprehensive than their previous list of demands.

In addition to background checks, the group is now calling for a multi-step approval process for gun ownership that includes "
in-person interviews, personal references, rigorous gun safety training, and a waiting period of 10 days for each gun purchase."

It also looks to impose much stricter limits on purchases by raising the minimum age for gun possession to 21 and limiting Americans to one firearm purchase per month. It's unclear how the plan will be implemented as that purchase limit would seem to preclude its other goal of imposing higher fees on bulk firearm purchases.

These fees, along with annual fees for firearm licenses, would be directed toward addressing gun violence. The plan also called for a
national licensing and registry system. Although an exact figure is impossible to pin down, researchers believe that there are more guns that people in the United States.

"Mandatory gun buybacks", huh? How about you fucking personally come for our guns, fucking faggot CUCKS...

How about we sue them for being evil bullies and bullying the shooter till he snapped?
Maybe we can make mandatory licensing for teenagers who want to be on social media.

There is one thing I hate even more than Communists, and that's Communists that use children as their puppets.
I also don't think highly of children that decide to become Communist puppets either.

It's pretty why when anyone says "It's for the Children" or "Think about the Children" or any such BS, I usually vote / do the exact opposite.

Guns account for less than 2% of all deaths annually in the USA. And of that figure, many of these are "good shoots", ie., justified shootings done by armed citizens in the course of self and home defense or law officers in the line of duty. The rest are mostly gang on gang turf disputes. Rifles, including semi-automatics, account for roughly 400 deaths per year...

Many other preventable issues have death tolls in the hundreds of thousands. Of course, the statist gun-banning camp is divided mainly into two categories. The actual malignant statists who seek to disarm the citizenry so they can pursue whatever nefarious deeds on their agenda, and the useful idiots who got their heads firmly lodged up their own asses and are buying every piece of bullshit that the malicious party is spewing out.

Children didn’t run shit when I grew up! You were seen, not heard unless they ask you something!

'Green New Deal, but for guns'

That does sum it up perfectly, the green new deal is one of the dumbest things I have ever seen

We really need a supreme court ruling specifically focused on the SHALL NOT INFRINGE part of the 2A
Almost every bit of idiotic gun control legislation I have seen could be qualified as infringing

The bigger question is who (what group) wrote that for them? They didn’t come up with all of that.
They are the mouthpiece and photo op, “it’s for the children!!!
    Follow the money.

I was about to say the same thing. I have seen this exact proposal written somewhere else, perhaps another current candidate running for office. This is not their ideas. Someone is using these kids.

I would suspect the usual suspects (Soros, the Clintons, some other equally disgusting and despicable pieces of shit). The same people backing these treasonous Democrat presidential candidates (and they are all treasonous, America hating cockroaches - except for maybe T Gabbard - not sure on her yet)

What's next? Forcing us to wear armbands and move to specific areas so they can easily identify and keep track of our whereabouts? Perhaps ID numbers tattooed on our forearm?
The code, 666 on your forehead, with a chip implanted!

A group of mindless socialist shills with zero life experience and no fucking clue about the Constitution are coming up with a plan, outstanding. If I was going to take advice, it would not be from some ass cheese eating high school punk who was skipping school the day of a school shooting and his drug using idiot friends.

All I can say gents is stand firm in your beliefs. Do not waver. Pass the knowledge down to your kids and explain to them the importance of standing firm. Being silent or backing down to this political correct crap is just how society has been flip flopped upside down. Lead your families like men.
    Bingo!?

I can actually see AOC ranting against Trojan for that specific reason.

Edit: The memes aside, after reviewing their (wholly unconstitutional) stupid fucking plan, its essentially a copy/paste of Canada’s gun laws (interviews with law enforcement, psychologists, licensing, limits on purchasing, etc). There some immaterial differences but it’s otherwise identical.

Whoever is funding these idiots is wasting money.

These school shootings are typically carried out by one or more of the students. Since the reasoning is that if a mental defect uses a gun to shoot up a school the plan has to be punish all gun owners. I can live with that as long as the students follow the same exact plan since one mental defect student decides to kill other students then all students must be punished. Make the school like a prison where they can't leave until they graduate , that way no student can amass weapons to kill other students. Seems fair if you take rights from gun owners then you should also lose a right chosen by the gun owners. Give and take so everyone must compromise.

Candyx, I am done compromising my rights away. Fuck these assholes and the assholes funding them.

The only forms of gun control I recognize:

    1) position
    2) sight alignment
    3) breathing
    4) trigger control
    5) recoil management

Otherwise, Molon Labe (hint, anyone that actually tries will fail miserably).

Having warned the Fudds years ago that they are making a dire mistake if they think that the "assault rifle" banning crowd will completely leave their precious .30-30 lever action alone... The wording in this latest 'manifesto' from the disarmament crowd: "To reduce gun ownership..." should be a major cause for concern for anyone who gives the remotest shit about their rights. They are not looking to ban just semi-automatic weaponry, they intend to come after everything. If the various subsections within the gun community do not unite as one now, the future will be chaotic.

Yep. They are following Hitler’s playbook to a T. Divide, Segregate, Shame, Disarm, Exterminate.

Not happening here, not to us!

    Buy Ammo, Train & Prepare.

I hear you every step of the way, unfortunately we're fighting against a machine under their rules which I can't understand. The propaganda that is spread non stop against the right is unbelievable. The left believes hole heartily that they can simply take everyone arms without any recourse.

Wind and corolois force are environmental conditions. We can’t control them but have to account for them.

Step one: understand the machine, including its vulnerabilities. Step two: destroy it.

Easier said than done if acting alone. If we Patriots act in unity, it’s destruction is assured. Unfortunately, getting all of us on the same page, acting as one is the hardest part. We conquer that hurdle, we conquer all.

Yes, it should be crystal clear for anyone that was not sure in the past. The very fact they want to go after body armor, semi autos, certain types of ammo should be a huge signal that they ain’t stopping at semi autos. They just know they have to go a little bit at a time. Be men, lead like men, do not waver in your stance, teach your young ones why this is important, teach your kids history, teach them how to shoot, train them, allow them to educate others and so on. You get the idea. Part of the reason we find ourselves in this situation is because men have not been acting like men, we have been wavering and forgetting our responsibilities, we haven’t been leading like we were meant to. Keep after it.

The biggest problem we face, even on sites like this is all the folks that are in awe of "The Law" and worship it like the word of God. Even when it's stupid.

They fail to understand that everything the Nazis did and all the atrocities they committed were "legal" and "The law" according the laws they passed to enable what they wanted to do.

Too many of our "fellow" gun owners will be busy telling the rest that they need to get in the box cars because that's "the law" and if they don't well they'll be felons for disobeying "The Law" and will be happy to rat out the others because after all if they are getting in the box car, then nobody should be able to be hiding in the attic to escape.

Any chance of success in preservation of freedom is predicated on the idea that law enforcement are patriotic people who love freedom and prioritize liberty first. If not, and they “simply follow orders” then they are the enemy plain and simple and will be regarded as such.

What is legal and what is moral and just are mutually exclusive. I will go out on a limb and say (hope) that the majority of our military members and those in law enforcement are patriots first and will not stand for and enforce grossly unjust laws. Guess if I’m wrong I’ll find out when the time comes.

Meh.... History says Leo will just do his job.

The good news is America can not be disarmed unless the gun owners lay down their arms.... Good luck with that ...millions will not comply .

We're Americans. Best start acting like it.

How's that for a campaign slogan?

This is basically what it already is in California... my last few purchases have gone to a 30 day delay because the DOJ just won't do their job.

Legislation will be passed that stops/restricts sales of guns by the manufacturer to people. Then the guns in circulation will dry up. 30 years down the road the amount of guns in the hands of the population will be tiny. Just look at how the Gov nearly eliminated full autos. How many full auto (and suppressors for that matter) are truly in the total population? Whats the actual ratio of machine guns versus any other semi/single shot gun in the country?

We can bitch and complain about every other detail, but the 2nd is on borrowed time. Nothing has been done since the NFA, Hughes Amendment, and every other gun law has been enacted. Until we either totally ignore all gun laws together or force the hands that write these laws to rescind them. We will one day not have them.

And the only true way to preserve the constitution is to make it a felony with harsh sentencing to write a bill that later is deemed unconstitutional.

Or just have an ancient order of the Star Chamber setup and politicians or anyone else that tries to subvert the clear meaning of the constitution and the freedoms therein just is one day vanished never to be seen again.

The evil folks always will outsmart you using the law as a weapon because they don't follow it but demand you do.
Best just have folks down through the generations that agree to do what must be done.

The number of full autos in private hands has been reported to be around 190,000. They haven’t been eliminated, the number in circulation has just stayed steady. I personally know a dozen people who own them, maybe that’s just the circles I travel in or maybe it’s an anomaly, but they weren’t “eliminated”. The number of suppressors is growing all the time, NFA isn’t that much of a hurdle. Until there is a Hughes act for SBR’s and suppressors their numbers will continue to grow. More than half of the shooters I know have something NFA.

The problem will be if they completely ban transferring existing guns to new owners and have a registry to back it up. If that were done then America could be disarmed in 40-70 years as the existing owners died off and the gov’t collected and destroyed their belongings. I’m 43 and have no children, all of my relatives have female offspring (who are being raised in liberal shitholes), even without a law I’m not sure what will happen to my guns when I die. My brother is raising his daughter with ideas of guns and hunting, but she’s currently 4 so we can’t tell where she’ll end up. If possible to transfer, I’ll continue educating and start arming others as I get closer to becoming worm food, passing on knowledge and guns to another generation, just not in my own family.

I've read that one reason for not opening up a new full auto amnesty is the fear of the number of unregistered firearms coming out of closets, and the additional paperwork required of the already over taxed BATFE...

We, as a community that breathes this type of stuff naturally find our way towards items like that. We are a small community (Although growing), but compared to the entire population of the USA, the vast majority do not. Im willing to bet that most of the population havent had experience with suppressors and machine guns are even way less than that. The ones who have them, have a few or alot. And those types probably frequent forums like this one.

My point is that they placed laws to restrict/prohibit certain guns from civilian ownership. And since 1986, the amount of full autos in the civilian population has drastically dropped. So if they passed that legislation already, then honestly whats to stop them from adding semi autos? Wait 30 or so years, then add bolt actions? There are ZERO repercussions for trying to pass bills that are against the constitution.

Well, you are assuming a lot for this law to work. Thats all assuming that people comply with the laws and that more are not made and sold on the black market. To be honest, there are kids hammering out some pretty decent AKs in the streets in other parts of the world. What makes you think that we couldn’t do that here with some of the best tooling in the world? All this would do is drive stuff underground which is arguably much more dangerous than them half ass knowing how many they are selling. You see the entire premise of the law is predicated on the fact that most people follow it out of good conscience. If one day large groups decide to not follow it or are, ahem made criminals overnight, then the entire system collapses. Which would you rather have, some control or no control at all? I’m betting most people, including politicians like their lives as they are currently, their cushy jobs and so on. Better to leave some things alone than to lose it all by trying to push something that the people don’t want. Just my opinion. Then again, politicians aren’t known to be the brightest bulbs on the tree. So maybe they are stupid enough to do it and bring their own castles down. One hopes not.

Considering the amount of gun owners and guns in civvie hands far outnumber all politicians, police, military personnel etc. then that’s not a bear a wise man would want to poke. Again, just my opinion. I’ve been wrong before. The resolve of the people will be what matters most in this deck of cards.

Politicians control everything in the making of laws, while us sheep control nothing. They play the long game, which we cannot seem to understand. History itself says 70% of us will obey any law passed. No one wants to die, lose their freedom to watch sports, go fishing, go to their kids ball game, or have a beer. If something requires action on our part against the govt, we retreat to the closet while typing in a fury on our keyboards.

When we watch the news and see govt passing unconstitutional illegal laws none of us do anything....well we do seem to make a few posts on a forum somewhere....then life goes on. They will never have to do mass confiscation, they just have to pass another law....

What everyone should be worried about now are state laws. They finally realized passing arms restrictions at the federal level was too hard and slow. Now they just have to turn 1 state at a time into kalifornia.
