Sidearms & Scatterguns PCC Considerations

Hey guys, I currently have a Kris's Vector pistol in 9mm. It's great, but I don't love the manual of arms, and the extremely tall height over bore.

I would like to use it in PCC competitions but haven't up to this point since I shoot multiple PRS matches a month. My vector has maybe 2k rounds on it in the three years I've owned so not a high use gun for me.

I am looking at and interested in a stribog grand power, it should have a but more room for my hands and a light, it should have a less extreme height over bore, and it's rad looking. The straight mags I actually like and they are cheap. It's barrels a bit longer which concerns me for 147s going supersonic, it will live suppressed.

Does anyone have experience with both guns?

Does one have an advantage over the other?

1.Short Barreled Rifles (SBR’s) are permitted provided that the competitor is in full compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations concerning ownership and transport of the SBR.
2.Handgun to carbine conversions are allowed as long as the conversion is shot in PCC division, and meets the criteria in #6.

Don't have the GP yet, I'm waiting on the A3 version to be approved for import. I'd love to SBR one. Ammo going super sonic is a valid concern, though if you reload you can tailor a load to keep from hitting that threshold. I'm not sure if something like the Blazer Brass 147gr. bulk stuff is loaded hot enough to make it to super sonic or not in an 8" barrel. It lists MV as 1000fps, but doesn't say what barrel length they used.

I have a Kriss too and I know what you mean, it's somewhat funky to operate. Height over bore isn't really a concern for me though.

I too am interested in the Stribog, apparently it ranked very high and came in just under the APC9k in the army trials. That's saying a lot for a budget 9mm. I can't say much more about 'em though other than they obviously have more traditional controls.

I don't have experience with either of those, but I can highly recommend the CMMG Banshee 9mm. Mine's been trouble free and I like the Radial Delayed Blowback design. They are more expensive, though. The Striborg looks interesting and I handled one at a gunshop but haven't fired one.
