Pelican style case help!

I hope that this is in the right section! I have a case similar to a pelican case that has 2 layers of flat foam in it. I was wondering what the ideal way to cut the foam to the shape of the rifle would be?
Should I just give it a whirl with the exacto knife or what?

I cut mine with my spyderco and it turned out perfect.

Great video on YouTube from optics planet that shows you how (sorry I don't have the link handy) to cut - electric knife seems to be the way to cut.

I agree 100%, oh yeah and dont forget to spray the foam with that clear adesive to stop the foam from wearing out, I use an OD Peli case for my optics,
