Anybody have one? Or have anything to say about them? I really like how you don't have to take out 10 guns to get to one that's in the back of the safe. Do they have fire protection?

Re: Pendleton Safes

I've admired these at SHOT the last couple years. Security and access are excellent, but no fire protection as of last JAN.

The are made in GA, means that freight is more affordable in the east,

I saw big improvements from 2010 to 2012 and will be looking to see what is next.

I don't buy their argument that fire protection is a scam.

Their dealer network is not what some of the other MFGs have

Re: Pendleton Safes

This is second hand info. Good buddy of mine is in the market for safes and I asked him to look at the Pendleton Series. Said he had
been in touch with them on the phone and fire rating was an issue over many conventional safes. He mentioned he also spoke with a safe
rep that reported that he did not believe they were going to be in business much longer.
If true, that pretty much sucks! After looking at them at SHOT as well the last couple years I thought they looked pretty slick.

Re: Pendleton Safes

I just looked at Pendleton safes at the NRA Show in St. Louis. They had dummy rifles in the safes that could be moved around. If you are challenged with storing multiple rifles with large scopes the carousel system does not work. I had a hard time placing two dummy rifles in offset rows in their safe. For the cost of a Pendleton you could buy two much larger conventional safes and spread your guns out.
