I've heard mixed reports on Peterson 338 Norma brass.
Anyone have experience with them?
I'm wanting a tough consistent case, and it looks like Lapua is never going to be available..

I picked up a box of 50 recently. I’m fireforming them to 338 Norma AI. I didn’t weigh them, but did measure neck thickness and neck thickness variation. All 50 cases were within 0.001” on neck thickness, 0.015” - 0.016” measurement which is about 0.001” or 002” thicker than the Norma brass I have on hand.

Awesome
What are your thoughts on the improved version?
I haven't built mine yet and am seriously considering the 338 NM AI.
I'm hung up on the whole custom reamer and dies part, can't find any info on the extra cost over the standard 338 NM

Shot a few fire formed cases this weekend. Loads up to 99.5 gr RL33 with 300 gr Elite Hybrids. No pressure signs, 2943 FPS average @ the 99.5 gr load, single digit ES & SD.

I bought my reamer from JGS and had them open up the neck dimensions a bit over the standard 338 Norma AI. Sent fire-formed brass to Whidden for dies....

Would you by chance be interested in renting your reamer? My Smith can't find one
