Ive recently just started doing my own threading on our lathe at work (gander mtn), so decided to do every gun I own haha. Todays project was my 700 VSSFII in 22-250.

How do you think itll sound? hopefully Ill get out tomorrow or thursday to test it out and take some comparison videos between it and 308.

Re: Phantom 7.62 on 22-250

It will sound just like an AR15 with that can on it. It should be hearing safe to the shooter (mine is). The can & mount are very heavy, you should expect some POI change with the can installed. When tightening on the can do not run it full tight, let it fall back to the last click, because it will fall back there while firing anyway and you will have a more consistent platform if you leave it in the click. If you are lucky the can will have little or no movement while in the last click. Even if there is slight movement in the lasdt click you are GTG.

All of this is based on if you threaded it perfectly and mounted the mount perfectly.

the extra volume of the 308 version should handle the 250 just fine. I run the Phantom 308 QD on my .243WSSM with great success.
Love the paint job on the can too, looks kinda shiny on the scope though, please tell me it's not krylon lol.

Re: Phantom 7.62 on 22-250

It definitely sounds good. I was expecting it to be louder than the 308, since I think it is slightly louder un-suppressed, but its a bit quieter than the 308 with the same can.

POI change is huge compared to on my 22" 308, havent been able to tell if accuracy is affected at all, shouldnt be.

Got out and zeroed it finally yesterday. Wanted to see some thoughts on my POI change. I was expecting a difference between suppressed and non, but at 100yds with the can on it shoots 5 moa low! My 308 is about 1.25moa shift, although its also a 4" shorter bbl Im sure that contributes.

I have a 5.56 can on the way from SAS and he told me it will work fine with a 22-250. I'm gonna be curious to see how it sounds.

Re: Phantom 7.62 on 22-250

I have a SAS .223 can and a jet .308 can, and have used them both on my 22-250. Both sound great and reduce what little recoil there is to nothing.

I called SAS,SWR and SRT and asked all of them if it was safe for the 250 to run through a .223 can and all of them said yes.

have fun
