I hope this is not supposed to go in the Equipment forum, if it is, sorry.

I would like to put two bipods on LaRue LT130 mounts, and share them between my AR-style (railed) rifles and my standard stock bolts.

I figured I'd just buy some Picatinny rail sections and fasten them to the bottoms of my stocks, in place of the sling swivel studs. Then I found this:

BT15 3.35" 1913 Rail | Accu-Shot Product Catalog – Monopods – Bipods - Accessories

This appears to use the existing studs, or at least holes (if I buy the screw kit), which is nice because then (theoretically) I don't have to worry about drilling my own holes and having them be out of perfect alignment.

Has anyone done any DIY work with regard to putting rails on the bottoms of standard laminate/fiberglass stocks, for such a purpose?
