I neeed to find a piece of picatinny base for a little project I am doing. It has to be steel, and I don't want to pay $80 for a 3.0" piece of base. PSI makes a steel base with a flat bottom, butit is like 8.0" and $100.00. I just need a small section. I have height dimensions for the piece I need if anyone is interested. Does anyone have the ability to machine a chunk of picatinny rail, or know of a shop that could do this on the cheap? Thanks.
