Anyone have a stable option for attaching a bottom rail to a key mod handguard so that it does not wiggle? I have an odin works rail, but it has a noticable amount of lateral play. Do i need a different handguard?

It’s possible that your hand guard is too thin. If the “keys” are bottoming out in the cutouts in the bottom of the rail before the top of the keys are completely snug against the inside of the handguard than the rail could remain loose even if tightened all the way. The obvious question is are you sure they are tightened all the way? My assumption is you wouldn’t be here asking if you hadn’t already made sure of that, so my guess is either the key mod rail is out of spec or the handguard is too thin. Vltor released the specs open source when they released keymod, but I guess that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re always followed. What kind of handguard is it?

It is a samson on an rpr. And it does seem too thin. I was looking at the seekins. If i can make this one work, great, if not ill put a new one on. I am open to rigid ideas. I also have a gen 1 midwest with a screwed on rail that seems much more stable.
