Rifle Scopes picatinny/weaver mount that is flat on the bottom?

Re: picatinny/weaver mount that is flat on the bottom?

it is a mini 14 ruger that has been milled flat and as a leupold basic mount on it. none of the ruger mounts will fit because it has been modified.

Since you are dealing with a custom receiver, your only options are to buy a picatinny rail "blank" and either mill it yourself or have someone local to you handle it for you (since you have had the receiver milled flat/modified, I assume that you have some skills yourself or access to someone who does if you go the rail blank route).

That, or get with a company like Murphy Precision as SANDRAT suggested. They are a great outfit to deal with and they'll do anything you need (within reason) in terms of custom work. Here is a link to their site in case you have difficulty finding their banner ad:

One thing that you could do is make your own if you are limited on funds. All you do is go to brownells get your self a picatinny rail blank Brownells rail blank Measure where you need the ejection part to be cut out take it to a machine shop have them drill holes through it cut out the ejection port. It would cost me a 50 bucks to do since I have lots of machine shops here that I am friends with.

dexter408 - Do you need an ejection port cut all the way through the rail, or just on the underside to deflect the rounds off to the side? Either way, I can certainly make a flat bottomed base for you. Turnaround time after I had the dimensions would be two or three days. Just give me a call at 800-553-8527 if you would like to discuss this further.
