Rifle Scopes Picked up a Leupold 2.5-8x36 Mark 4 from SWFA...

While my USO SN-3 is being repaired (confirmed it arrived at USO today), I figured I'd go with another optic for my LR-308. I saw that SWFA had the Leupold Mark 4 2.5-8x36 mildot on sale for $719. I have one other Mark 4 and this seemed like a great deal on a new Mark 4, so I went with it. Not only did I order it online at the beginning of SHOT last week, but it also arrived at my home while SHOT was still going on. Very impressive, I must say.

Anyway, I've put this in the LaRue mount and have it on my LR-308 now and really like it. It came with the turrets for 7.62 168gr, so I may just keep it on this rifle and put the USO on an M1A.

Anyone else have a Mark 4 2.5-8x36? What is the general consensus on them? Any real issues with them?

Where on their site did you find the 2.5-8 with bdc knob for 700? Only one I found was m1 knobs.

They sell the same one I got, but in the TMR for $999. I got it and it was listed as "Discontinued closeout". I only see the one with M1 turrets left as discontinued, so my guess is that they already sold out of the model I got with the M2 turrets. At $719, it was a great price.

I guess this isn't a terribly popular optic. Must be why they discontinued it... lol.

No. The same model I got but with the illuminated reticle is $1,179.95.

I have the M1 model and it works perfect.. The MILDOT is what they droped..

when your USO comes back LMK and I will buy your MR/T
