Hello all,

I’m wanting to get a short compact pistol bolt action that I’ll eventually form 1. Couple questions:

I’m thinking a MDT LSS chassis or Pork Sword. I’d like the chassis to be able to hold an AR buffer tube. What caliber (458 or 450bm) would be more ideal for running 100% suppressed and subsonic ammo. Looking to keep the barrel length 10-12”. I’m not a reloader so I’ll be buying most ammo from black butterfly. What twist barrel to stabilize 400gr to 500gr bullets? Also looking for someone to take on this build. I’ve asked a couple builders and they’re not comfortable in the liability of building the rig as a pistol. Anybody have any experience?

Ended up going with a @Black Collar Arms #PorkSword 10” 450bm build on a big horn origin. Got the firearm today. Scope mounted up and folding brace on. Ready to send some 425gr subs through it (waiting for a vers 458 can before I send full power through suppressed)

Nice to see the new hand guard, looks good. How solid is it, any play/wobble?
Thank ya! No play or wobble. I mean if you push really hard on the end of the hand guard it’ll torque up and bend but that is a substantial amount of pressure needed.

any chance you can tell me what the length of the pistol is when folded (folding brace joint to the end of the muzzle)?

21.5” from brace joint to the muzzle.

I also modified it a bit. Had the Sig Sauer 1913 to buffer folding adapter but as you can see in the photos I first posted, the device hung down quite a bit and really interfered with the grip.. The SB Tactical 1913 would but a flush fit but I wanted the SBA3..... so I ordered a Thordsen Picatinny to buffer and SB tactical buffer tube folding adapter.... had to cut the Thordsen picatinny to buffer down a bit to fit flush on the bottom side for the grip and allow the bolt to cycle. Works great now

I mostly run the weapon now with the Rugged Obsidian 45 and 425gr Black Butterfly subsonic buzzsaws... but when I run it with full power loads I throw on the Bowers VERS 458... makes for one hefty bolt action pistol :ROFLMAO: Slammed a few whitetail with it this season here in MI
