Gunsmithing pistol sight question

would mepro usp compact sights fight in a full size slide ?

if this wont work why not ? my guess is full and compact pistols use the same dove tail in the slide

While the sights should fit the slide cuts, since you are trying to put sights made for a compact slide on a full length, I would wager the sight heights would be "off" to regulate a service-type load to POA.

It's a geometry thing, but then, math wasn't my best subject.
