Plastic Riot Bullets

Has anyone ever used the 19GR plastic riot bullets? if so, do they offer any value for training or just plinking fun? Are they loaded with just primer only or do you use a charge of any type? Is there any known damage that can be done to a weapon is you use them?

Many years ago Speer offered a wax / plastic bullet that was powered by a magnum pistol primer. They even had a little hand tool for loading them at the range. The whole thing and a box of both primers and bullets would fit in a fatigue / BDU shirt pocket.

They are a lot of fun. I took a .44 mag case and used chunks of hot glue. Worked pretty good. Smacks the heck out of cats in heat in the back yard
