POF Gas System Help

[D.A.T]

I have both a P415 and P308 both have 14.5 inch barrels. The gas rod system looks identical. Are they the same? I think the gas plug that says "N" and "S" is from the P415. The other two parts look the same.

Im a busy man during "normal" working hours. Im sleeping LOL.

got an email back form POF and was told the gas piston systems are the same. The holes for nomal use look different, but I'll give them a try.

Which is newer?
The latest gas plugs are not printed N and S, but have one side with kind of a double cutout and raised center on it-that goes up for normal operation (and will go on the one with the larger number prefix on the serial number if the prefixes are different).

Measure your gas pistons with calipers, the 308 should be .430" in diameter, if they are both .430" then there's not a difference-different diameter pistons bleed the gases off at different rates.

Once you get them all figured out, don't take them both apart and mix all the parts together unless you know what's what.

One has the N and S and the other one is just smooth and notched.

Dont know which one goes where.
