What would be the bes way to clean brass without tumbler. I have a lee Zip trim and was advised to used light scotch bright pad, and Brasso.

To clean, 4/0 steel wool does real good. To make it shine Brasso is good. I know a lot of people that use Krazy Cloth. But it leaves a wax film that makes a residue in the chamber & sizing die.
You're cases need to be clean. But the shine part is optional.

I use scotch brite and 0000 steel wool with good results. I usually only clean the neck and shoulder, but this past time I did the whole case and they look like new.

I have used brasso before and its okay to use imo.
I ultrasonic clean and then either use brasso to polish them up, or just twist the necks thru some wet steel wool. This makes annealing a lot easier.

I would highly encourage you to save your pennies and shop around for a tumbler. Midway often puts theirs on sale. Check ebay as well. Sometimes they turn up used in local gun shops and gun shows.
