Posting Links to stuff for sale elsewhere?

I previously had not read the rules thoroughly, posted a link to an rem 700 action I saw for sale on gunbroker, the seller would not sell to me in California but I thought somebody here would appreciate the good deal. I was rightfully banned for a few days for breaking the rules as they were posted.

Is there a proper way to share good deals I see elsewhere?

No big deal if it is not allowed at all in anyway, just thought I was giving back something small for all the great info I get here.

It's a nice thought but it's not allowed. Most on here look at the places where good deals can be found. It's just not worth the headache and therefore is not allowed.
