If there's something you really like about the AX, it's a good rifle. However, if there's nothing particular about it that floats your boat, I'd recommend either the upcoming AT-XC for about the same money, or a regular AT for significantly less.

I personally wouldn't purchase an AX for XC price. I'd be looking to find one cheaper. But, opinions will differ.

Same unless you just love the AX the AT, AT-X or AT-XC are all better options.
