So I have worked up a load with 4831SC that shoots amazingly in my 260AI. I know a lot of people use the H4350 with superb results and I recently came across 8 lb kegs of H4350 in stock and super cheap at a local sporting goods store. There are no H4831 kegs in sight. Is it worth risking a less accurate load to save a ton of money and restart my load work up. Although i didn't take me long to figure out with the 4831SC thanks to Terry Cross. Thanks for the advice.

My SOP is to develop loads using two different powders. That gives me options, if I'm low on one of the powders. 4350 might shoot just a well or perhaps better than 4831. Worth 50rds to find out.

If you have the time I say go for it. I have great luck with H4350 in my 6.5CM. I think you'll find a good load with H4350.

How much are you actually saving though ? Is it worth the effort ?

If you know people that use 4350 with great results I would say there is a very good answer.

FWIW, most of the .308 based cases do extremely well using 4350. I just used that on my trip out to Nevada shooting one mile in a 7mm-08. I don't think you will go wrong in any way shape or form getting that for cheap and using it.

Well I looked in the reloading depot for 260 loads and the majority of guys are using it, as well as many top fclassers. I am saving a very large amount of money by buying the 8 pounder too. In excess of 50 bucks after tax.
