Hi, I'm currently using 43.0 gr. of IMR 4064 for my 178 AMAX rounds with winchester brass, cci military 7.62 primers. I get sub moa. What experiences do you have with different powders or whatever you use?

varget works well,I'm running 44gr with fed brass and they are working pretty good for me at 600 yard on steel.but i haven't tried shooting groups with them yet
loads tested started at 43gr and worked my way up to 45gr

Both worked very well.
Start low and work you way up. Top load is way above book.

Wow that's a lot of powder. imr 4064 45.7gr... that's a compressed load. What length and twist barrel are you shooting with. I have a 24" 1in10" twist rate and am shooting 43.0gr imr4064 and am getting 2650+/- fps.

I've been shooting varget 44g and 178g Amax win brass and primer at 1K and shoots a little better than 175smk out of 700p

This is my load as well only with Lapua brass.

I'm running them at 2681fps with 43.0g Varget in Fed GMM brass, and Fed 210m primers. They work great on deer. they rip a good sized hole. 22" barrel

Im using 46.3gr of RL-15 in Winchester cases with Wolf LRM primers, and 178s seated to 2.940(~0.020" off the lands in my gun). They are chronoing at 2660 but back calculating using my actual dope to 1000 they are more like 2740. Iva got a factory Remington barrel cut to 20" 1-12". I get absolutely no pressure signs even in 100 degree weather.
