I'm working on my 22 creed powder selection. H4350, H4831, H1000, RL26 and VV165
Using 90g SMK's
Testing powders to see how much it takes to get to 3200fps. Should be safe for all of them.
So far just did the H4350 and H1000
The H4350 is using 1.5g less to get to the same speed as H1000
Question, would you use the powder that uses least amount even though it is a "faster" burning powder?
Does pressure = fps?
So if I'm getting the same speed with two different weights, are the pressures the same?
What would you run, (example) 40g of H4350 or 41.5 of H1000 if they were the same fps and why?

whichever i had more of. or whichever gave better ES/SD

H1000 burns slower. Any of the 4350s will work as you're finding out. But the answer is simple enough. Use the one you like the best based on results.

Don’t know about 22 Creedmoor because I want a .204 Creedmoor, but what I found with other rounds is that if a powder is too fast burning for the bullet weight you run into issues with ES/SD, your primer pockets loosen quickly, and your accuracy node narrows. With the right combination your accuracy node is broad and your brass is happy.
