Powder recommendations for 243 ackley with 90 grain bullet

Going through this at the moment myself. 41.5 grains of IMR4350 with a 95 grain berger classic hunter works well as a forming load. Accurate as hell for me and really lays out the white tails. Hit one at 230 right in the boiler room broadside and had a whole lot of red behind it. Dropped right there. Another at 550 one shot and dropped, no exit though.

When I fire form I use maximum load for a 243 Winchester with any given powder with the bullet seated to the lands. I have 7828, 7828sc, 4350, 4895 (imr) and have hybrid 100 and some hogden powders. Using lapua cases, fed 210 match primers.

My quickload data says 46 grains hybrid 100 will give me 3310 fps at 61,377 pressure but. Have not tried any loads with the 90 grain accubond yet.

I am switching from the SST. Bullet would blow up and not exit deer at 100 yards.

I'm right about 3k with my forming load. I've not run it through a crono since I'm only shooting so far with it but the dope matches out to the 550 yard mark.

In my experience the accubonds don't open up at long range. Antelope at 453 yds. Just poked a hole in him. Bull elk 550 yds. Just acted like an fmj. I get 3240 fps. with 105 amaxes and imr 4350
