Hello Everyone:

I'm a newbie. Have had some shooting training from USMC many years ago, but would like to now get a little more serious about it. I just got my new Droid phone, and immediately downloaded the "Shooter" software. Got it loaded, fired it up, and realized I don't know what half the parameters are. The first one I didn't understand (never heard of it actually) was the input parameter for "Powder Temperature". Can anyone tell me what this is, how it works, and generally any info on it..?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Powder Temperature

I am no geek but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last month. If you cant measure the actual round's temp then I'd use the shade air temp at the range.

As an aside I always keep my ammo out of the sun on the firing line. Under a towel, in a bag, in a covered box.

Good luck
