The Emerald Forest was also great.
I looked like that kid (Charlie Boorman) in the 80s and got a lot of play out of it thanks to this movie.

Extreme Prejudice, with a Peckinpaw Wild Bunch style scene IIRC, was also pretty good.

Boothe was in a lot of good guy-flicks.

And to the end he was married to his college (married 1969!) -- which, I assume, means he was a conservative Republican. RIP.
