My local range only goes out to 100 yards. The nice thing is it’s only 10 minutes from my house and I can slip in short shooting sessions a few times a week. I have a Ruger 10/22 in a Magpul stock that shoots 1 inch groups at 50 and 3 inch groups at 100. Does anyone have any recommendations for drills I should work on? I can set targets up any distance from 25-100 yards and can shoot prone kneeling, standing, bench. I’m thinking of making a VTAC barrier to practice with. Thanks.

I practice dot drills from supported positions at 50-100yds. Then I practice unsupported with a sling on steel usually 30-50yds away. Size of target is dependent on position and distance.

I made these targets up to use with my 10/22 at 50 yards to practice for the local precision rimfire matches.

I also built up these barricades that I can break down and transport in my car, I can use them for anything but they go along with my practice targets pretty good.

Sweet thanks guys. I had not seen that they post the course of fire for NRL22. That helps a lot. Shooting 22 is allowing me to practice so much plain prone shooting is becoming easy.

Not my images but yes.
However you will print those out differently as they are designed to work in an 8 1/2x11 sheet.
And then reduce them for the 25 yd or just start with them for the 50yd for a session then get smaller.
Good luck

Here's the 25 yard / 50 round rimfire practice target. I reduced the size of the targets and revised the lay out of them a little bit. It should work out for you guys.

I think I know what I need to work on... though I misread the instructions. I did unsupported standing/kneeling and I couldn't hit shit. I did the 5 squares doing standing/kneeling on different types of barricades. (5 Gallon Jug, Barrel, Sawhorse, Tank Trap)

Thanks for this drill! I had my fiance do it as she wants to start doing NRL22 and she finds it so much more engaging that just bench shooting and wants to go out and do this every week. We keep a timer for each different section ~ 12s a shot. And practice the make ready / from standing get on the rifle.
