Looking at a pre 64 model 70 300 HnH Magnum. year built 1955 As far as I know it has'nt been altered adn rechambered into a 300 weatherby like so many of them have, Gun is about 80% all original no scope but has rings. Everything is original and unaltered as far as I can tell. what is the estimated value of this gun?

Re: pre 64 model 70

Hard to say without pictures. They can be all over the place. However, to the best of my knowledge, an unaltered Pre64 in 300 H&H is not labeled 300 H&H. I believe they were labeled as a 300 MAGNUM.

Things like the correct stock, the swivels, the sling, correct buttpad, hood for the front sight, correct rear sight, proper bottom metal they all make differences on appraised value.

If indeed it is completely correct, it could be worth up to 1800-2000 USD. IF its been messed with or missing simple things such as the swivels, sights, or correct butt pad, values decrease quick.

Pictures would be helpful to say the least.
