I have been reading articles and watching videos about building up my own rifle. I need to understand more about shouldered pre-fit barrels. Seems like a simple enough process that a mechanically inclined person can perform with the right tools and fixtures.
However, I can not find any info on WTF to do if the shoulder is torqued down and the headspace isn't correct? Do you send the barrel back? Or the action? Or both?
Should I just have a gunsmith build it up? Or give up altogether and buy an effing Tikka?
Considering a Defiance Ruckus action and the corresponding Proof Research pre-fit barrel.
TIA
