Predictions on COVID-19 looting and riots?

The mass autism that had been the response to this thing has been pretty significant. And 95% of it had been fueled by the media. If people are already brawling and threatening each other inside stores for the couple of bulk 16-packs of Scott rolls left on the shelf, what are they going to do when essential supplies, ESPECIALLY food, begins to face a real possibility of running out???

I think many people are starting to realize this, hence, the skyrocketing sales of guns and ammo that almost every gun store is experiencing right now.

I have started stocking up on all essential goods in late December, when Chinese CCTV and NY regional 1380 AM Mandarin had begun reporting of a mysterious and highly contagious type of pneumonia beginning to spread amongst people in downtown Wuhan. I knew it will be only a matter of time before it begins exploding everywhere, helped along by the speed and frequency of air travel and international commerce.

If suppliers cannot get stock replenished fairly quickly then deperation will certainly set-in sooner or later.

I bet Georgia Pacific (part of Koch Industries and makes TP) have their WI plant running at full capacity. Isnt like the Kochs to miss out on making a few bucks.

I read somewhere ( maybe here) that they figure it’ll take missing 9-12 meals before it goes “western”.

It’s pretty easy to get idiots stirred up and that is what is happening now. The current scenario is the script for a low budget contagion movie.

My prediction is that there will be lots of cheap houses at Del Webb soon and Social Security will go back to being solvent!

In addition, there are lots of idiots who will still be using 2020 Toilet Paper in 2036... and we will soon finish the %$#@ing wall... and those who bought stocks this past week are going to be able to afford to buy their own tank by July....

Other than that...

The K-12 schools shutting down has me worried.

Many “youths” already partake in flash mobs and brawls on weekends.

No school for weeks and I imagine they will simply roam around in gangs 24/7.

City problems. IF it gets to that point watch how quick the dem contolled cities go straight Mao and bring in the NG.

What concerns me more is if it gets that bad is the migration of city dwellers to the country side...

Although we all know this is fairly serious, either real or imagined, treat this as a "dry run". It will pass, but you should still have notes on what to stock up a little more or a little less. Watch where problems start, or appear to start, and who or what starts them. Take written notes. This will happen again, someday. Next time you should know more and be just a little better prepared. Decide if you need to make any changes before then/when.

Personally I need a big pack of poo paper put back, just one. But I do have about 5 old phone books. You young'uns can giggle all you want, but I remember well sitting in the outhouse in WV when I was a kid and wadding/crinkling up pages from the Sears catalog so they'd be softer. Index pages went first.

Well...if they don't stop lying to US about it things may get dicey. In the Metropolitan area I live in the official word from .Gov and the uber smart health care professionals is that there are no confirmed cases of CR-19 in our area. Still, they are locking down my Mom in her retirement facility and no one get's in without being screened and approved. All big events have been cancelled and schools closed.

OK. Cool I feel pretty safe. Then Wednesday I get email confirmation at work that one of my coworkers has had direct family who *has* been diagnosed with CV-19 (as have several of that persons coworkers...) and he, my coworker, has been told to limit his social contact for 14 days and get tested. So we have all been advised that we have been indirectly exposed and to act accordingly after being told there are no cases of confirmed CV-19 in this area by local health officials.

Fucking liars and cheaters. We are being controlled and contained with misinformation and lies. I'm not worried about the virus - if I die I'll die and if I get it I'll make sure I don't spread it. But when the sheep masses discover the lies there may be trouble and panic when they figure out we are being herded and controlled by liars.

I'll deal with the virus but watching this being slopped up as a chance to manipulate US is really pissing me off.

People are acting weird.

It seems the Dems are trying to create panic.

I’m avoiding any shopping weekend.

Not a ghetto but large town Walmart where mostly lower income folks shop. Jut back from picking up water filters my Wife got for in store pickup. There is nothing there...no hand sanitizer, no TP, no antibacterial soap, no pasta, no Ragu or Prego, no bread, no milk, etc.

Picked up medicine for my Wife who is scheduled for a hip replacement is 3 weeks. No hand santizer, no TP....not even any aloe vera jell. The lady at the pharmacist counter was rattled and told me about 20 minutes earlier they had to have the police escort a guy out of the building for threatening the pharmacist for not selling the bottle of hand sanitizer that *they* were using in the pharmacy.

It's not melting down here but...it's real weird. Real weird....

They have 2 confirmed cases of coronavirus on the res by where I live. Yesterday they changed it to Mickey's virus.

It was definitely tense in the grocery store Thursday, and there was still reasonable amounts of food on the shelves. I can easily see someone grabbing from another’s cart and the shit hitting the fan. Tried to smile at others in the vein of “let’s all be chill and we’ll all get back home just fine” sort of testing everyone out that way too, seeing who’s high strung and who just wants to get back home too
 
This virus has been around for eons and will be around for many more, its not new. There's almost a guarantee that every adult has had the coronavirus sometime in their life and still are kicking. That horrible cold you had last year, the flu you had a few years back, chances are it was a strain of corona. Unless you're immune compromised or elderly with health conditions there' little reason to be concerned with the exception of idiots losing their damn minds on the street. It will most likely suck to experience if you get it, much like actually having the flu but with few exceptions you'll live. Let it run its course in 10 days to 2 weeks and go on with your life.

If the news media never made mention of this and went on their merry way no one would even notice any difference this year from last. Just stop watching the news and get a grip. The MSM doesn't care about you, they will continue to hype this as its a ratings bonanza. I still say the flu will kill more people in this country alone this year than the coronavirus will world wide. Considering the numbers between the two, the corona has a ridiculous amount of ground to gain to catch up.

Made a chinamart run early Thursday am. Clays, cheap shotshells and beer. Lots of all three. The gal had to come approve because of the shells and beer. Her comment was You've got a lot going on here. Not in a buggy about to give out kind of way but more of a wtf kind of way.

The "media" lost a lot of their influence since the big flop of the Mueller report and their Russia Russia Russia got flushed. They were given many passes on fake shit like Stormy Stormy and other little false stories because they promised big on the Mueller investigation. When it went poof so did their ratings and influence.
This Corona Hysteria is the media showing who's wielding the power. They have proven that they can make or break any politician (except Trump, so far), business and get intelligent people to believe anything.

Who owns the media? Who are they backing in DC?

Reminds me of how, some years back, University of Kentucky won some championship game or other and the celebrations went so far as to include couches and cars burning in the streets and people dancing atop the burnt-out shell. Because a sporting event was a success.

Look, I'm college-educated and I didn't graduate all that long ago but damn these college kids are dumbasses sometimes, ain't they?

Heaven knows I wanted to chuck heavy books at more than a couple of my classmates more than once.

Around here there has been some women fighting and guys getting into fisticuffs over supplies.

However I don't expect it to get more serious than that because way too many people are well armed and the moment somebody starts something, everyone is going to start shooting back.

Also found at the grocery store, while there are scared sheep lots of others are happy to chat, joke and laugh with you about there being nothing on the shelves even if it's stuff they wanted and can't get. A lot of them are just like let's get the other stuff we can get.

I’m not too worried about the actual virus. I’m quite certain I’ve already been exposed. I think it’s out in the wild in most cities.

I’m more worried that media will make TP and food shortages even worse in the coming weeks.

Hopefully things will get restocked Monday/Tuesday.
