I am kicking around the idea of a prefit for my GAP Crusader. My question is how would that work with the barrel nut and my McMillan stock? I am guessing that a relief would have to be made to the stock?

Most barrel nuts are 1.25" at the widest point. If your current barrel channel is a tight fit on a 1.20" shank you will have to open the barrel channel up. If your current barrel is 1.25" diameter then you have a good chance of being okay... In the 'shank' area anyway. Most of the nut style prefit barrels are 1.06" at their thickest part, which actually may also interfere with the existing inlet 4-6" in front of the receiver.

Just depends on what the current barrel profile is and how tight the stock inlet is to the existing barrel.
