I have a Kimber Caprivi .375 H&H Magnum that I'm looking to get rid of. It's in extremely good condition, about 97%-99% with about 45 rounds down the tube. It has a Leupold VX-III 3.5-10x-40mm scope (duplex reticle) with Kimber bases and Leupold rings. Any ideas as to how much I can get for it by selling it myself? My local gun shop said if they took it as a trade-in I would only get 1/2 of what its worth and they told me to sell it myself to get the most out of it. Thanks for the help.

Gunbroker is a very popular way to get rid of firearms and still profit from them. You can set a reasonable asking price then watch your grin stretch from ear to ear as the bids roll in.

In that condition (sight unseen of course), with the scope/base/rings, I'd say a reasonable starting point would be around $3,100. I saw one sell locally last month for $2600 in the same condition without the scope and rings (had scope bases, but not sure the brand). I drooled all over it and then sadly walked away due to insufficient fundulation. They are beautiful rifles!!

Yes they are quite beautiful, hence the reason it's gotta go. I took it hunting with my in September and everytime it shifted while I was carrying it I winced. Thanks for the help.
